Three years of growth

The series reads EUR 27,140.95 for 2023, EUR 29,130.51 for 2024 and EUR 31,939.42 for 2025, rises of 7.3% and 9.6%. It is a mean on a full-time basis, so it sits above what a typical worker earns. There is no region or industry split in this series.

The employee carries the social cost

Lithuanian employees pay about 19.5% social insurance out of gross pay. The employer adds little, per Sodra: 1.31% unemployment insurance on an indefinite contract (2.03% fixed-term), 0.14% accident insurance in risk group I, and 0.16% each to the guarantee and long-term employment funds. That is 1.77%, or 2.49% on a fixed-term contract. So a Lithuanian gross wage already includes costs other countries put on the employer; compare offers with that in mind.

Employer cost at the average

On EUR 31,939.42 the employer adds EUR 565.33 a year on an indefinite contract, EUR 32,504.75 in all, or EUR 795.29 on a fixed-term one. The 2026 minimum wage is EUR 1,153 a month (Eurostat), so the 2025 average month is about 2.3 times it; see the Lithuanian minimum wage page. Our Lithuania EOR guide covers notice and probation.

When the EOR fee outweighs the taxes

Fees run from $99 a month (Native Teams; its help center says EUR 99) to $699 (Oyster), checked October 2026. Deel's $599 is about EUR 532 a month, against EUR 47.11 a month in employer contributions at the average. Compare EOR prices or see our EOR rankings.
