The Czech Republic's minimum wage is CZK 22,400 a month, or CZK 134.40 an hour, from January 1, 2026, set through the government's valorization formula and announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MPSV) in notice 356/2025 Sb. That is about $1,036 a month (ECB koruna and dollar rates, October 16, 2026), and it replaced the 2025 rate of CZK 20,800. With employer social security (24.8%, CSSZ) and health insurance (9%, from a secondary source) of 33.8% in all, a full-time minimum-wage employee costs CZK 29,971.20 a month.
The Czech minimum wage (minimální mzda) is the single national floor for gross pay, stated monthly and hourly for a 40-hour standard working week.

A formula, not an annual bargain
Since January 1, 2025, the rate follows a valorization mechanism. The government fixes, by regulation (285/2024 Sb.), a coefficient of the expected average wage: 0.422 for 2025 and 0.434 for 2026. MPSV then announces the resulting amount, which runs from January 1 to December 31.
There is one national rate. It applies to every employee on a 40-hour standard week, with no regional, youth or sector rates in the MPSV source. The 2026 monthly minimum is 45.5% of the 2025 average wage of CZK 49,215 reported by the Czech Statistical Office; see average Czech pay for the detail.

Per hour, per month, per year
MPSV states both amounts directly, so no conversion is needed for the headline. For budgeting:
- Monthly-paid: CZK 22,400 x 12 = CZK 268,800 a year
- Hourly-paid, 40-hour week: CZK 134.40 x 40 = CZK 5,376 a week
- Hourly-paid over 52 weeks: CZK 134.40 x 2,080 = CZK 279,552 a year
The two annual totals differ because the monthly and hourly figures are set separately; pay the one that matches the contract.

Paying the Czech minimum through an EOR
Without a Czech company, an employer of record runs payroll and the CSSZ and health insurer filings. Its fee is a fixed monthly charge, from $99 at Native Teams (its help center says EUR 99) to $699 at Oyster on October 16, 2026 price pages, with every provider in the EOR cost index. Deel's $599 a month is 43% of the monthly employer cost of a minimum-wage worker, so the fee weighs heavily on low-paid roles.
The Czech Republic EOR guide covers notice and severance, and our EOR rankings compare providers. Neighboring floors: Slovakia's minimum wage and Poland's minimum wage.
