HiBob pricing and review: what Bob costs and how it compares
We may earn a commission when you sign up through some links on this page. Commissions never change our scores or the order of our lists. How we make money.
HiBob does not publish prices. Its pricing page says Bob is "customized based on your company's size, needs, and the modules you choose" and "generally calculated on a per-employee basis," with no figures (checked October 18, 2026). Its closest rival, BambooHR, posts $10, $17 or $25 per employee per month, or a flat $250 to $650 a month for 25 or fewer employees (checked October 16, 2026).
HiBob scores 37 out of 100 on our HR software scale, mostly because no price is public. Below: what a HiBob quote has to beat, and what to ask.
HiBob (product name Bob) is cloud HR software for midsize, multi-office companies that combines an employee database, time off, workflows and analytics with optional modules for hiring, performance, compensation and native US and UK payroll, sold by per-employee quote.

HiBob vs BambooHR vs Rippling on price
| Employees | HiBob | BambooHR Core | BambooHR Pro | Rippling floor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | Quote | $250 flat | $425 flat | 10 x $8 = $80 + base fee |
| 25 | Quote | $250 flat | $425 flat | $200 + base fee |
| 50 | Quote | $500 to $512.50 | $850 to $875 | $400 + base fee |
| 100 | Quote | $1,000 to $1,025 | $1,700 to $1,750 | $800 + base fee |
BambooHR: $10 Core and $17 Pro per employee above 25 employees, flat $250 and $425 at 25 or fewer; ranges include the $10.25 and $17.50 figures in its own FAQ. Rippling: "plans start at $8 per employee per month, with a monthly base fee" that is not stated, and the $8 is not tied to a specific Rippling product, so treat that column as a floor. Use the table as your test. At 50 employees, a HiBob quote for Core alone has to come in under $500 a month, or $10 per employee, to beat BambooHR Core. Against BambooHR Pro, the bar is $850 to $875.
Payroll is unpriced at all three. BambooHR's payroll add-on is $0 through December 31, 2026 on a 12-month agreement (a promotion); its regular price is not published. See BambooHR plans and payroll terms, what Rippling charges and Rippling vs BambooHR.
What to ask HiBob before you sign
- What is the per-employee price for Core, and for each module we want (Hiring, Talent, Compensation, US Payroll)?
- Is there a minimum employee count or minimum annual spend?
- What is the one-time implementation fee, and what does it cover?
- Is billing monthly or annual, and is the contract one year or longer?
- Does it renew automatically, how much notice do we give to cancel, and is there a cap on renewal price increases?
- What does US Payroll cost per employee, and who files our federal and state payroll taxes?
- Can our employee data be hosted outside Ireland and Germany?
- How do we export employee records and documents if we leave?
For comparison, Personio publishes a 5% cap on renewal increases and 90 days' notice on annual plans; see Personio contract terms.
HiBob features, ATS and payroll
Core HR: the employee database, documents, time off, lifecycle workflows, analytics and the Bob mobile app come in Core. Hiring (ATS): applicant tracking is the separate Hiring module. Other modules: Talent, Learning, Compensation (with Mercer benchmarking) and Planning are separate modules; HiBob bought Mosaic for headcount planning in 2025. Payroll: native US and UK payroll run on the same platform (HiBob bought Pento for UK payroll in 2024), and Payroll Hub connects third-party payroll providers in other countries.
Hiring abroad? Payroll Hub connects payroll but does not employ anyone, so compare employer of record providers.
Security and where your data lives
HiBob says it holds ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27018:2019 certification, and SOC 2 Type II reports are available on request under NDA. Employee data is hosted on AWS in Ireland, with backup in Germany. Some US buyers need IT or legal sign-off for that.
HiBob reviews: what customers report
HiBob has 4.5 out of 5 from 2,706 reviews on G2 and 4.1 from 158 on Trustpilot (October 18, 2026). BambooHR showed 4.4 from 7,705 on G2 and 3.3 from 154 on Trustpilot (October 16, 2026). Recurring complaints about HiBob:
- Customization and reporting fall short for complex organizations.

- Gaps such as rota or shift scheduling and some integrations.
- Occasional reliability problems and slow support (Trustpilot).
If you run shift work, check scheduling tools such as Deputy alongside HiBob.
