Factorial pricing and review: what $8 per user really costs

We may earn a commission when you sign up through some links on this page. Commissions never change our scores or the order of our lists. How we make money.

Factorial says it "starts at $8 per month, per user" on its pricing page, and its seat conditions bill US accounts for at least 10 seats whatever your headcount (both checked October 18, 2026). So the lowest published US bill is 10 x $8 = $80 a month, or $960 a year, before any of the modules most teams add, which have no published prices.

Factorial scores 47 out of 100 on our HR software scale, ahead of HiBob and Personio mainly because it publishes a starting price, and behind BambooHR, which posts a price for every plan.

Factorial is HR software from Everyday Software, S.L. of Barcelona, Spain that covers employee records, onboarding and documents in its Core plan, with time off, time tracking, performance, payroll management and IT modules sold on top, priced per user.

5050$400$4,800$500 to $512.50
100100$800$9,600$1,000 to $1,025

Factorial: $8 starting price x seats billed, with the 10-seat US minimum (pricing page and seat conditions, checked Oct 18, 2026). BambooHR: $250 flat for 25 or fewer, then $10 per employee ($10.25 in its FAQ), pricing page checked Oct 16, 2026. Core plans only, before payroll and add-ons.

Two things change the math. First, a 5-person team pays for 10 seats, so the $8 becomes $16 per actual employee. Second, $8 is a floor: modules are unpriced, quotes are tailored, and Factorial does not say whether $8 assumes monthly or annual billing. Get time off and time tracking priced before you compare with BambooHR's plan prices.

Factorial company profile

Factorial is run from Barcelona, with central offices in Spain, Germany and Mexico and subsidiaries in Brazil, Mexico and Germany. Its about page cites 17,000+ client companies and $100 million in annual recurring revenue in 2025, and says it has clients "in over 120 countries" (the same page also says "over 12 countries"). Its trust center lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 3 and Spain's ENS High.

Deel vs Factorial for international hiring

They do different jobs. Factorial is HR software: it keeps records and runs HR processes for people you already employ, and its module list includes no employer of record service. Deel's EOR employs workers in other countries for you at $599 per employee per month (checked October 16, 2026). If you have no entity abroad, you need an EOR first; Factorial can then hold the HR records. Compare EOR fees in EOR pricing by provider and the Deel review.

Factorial reviews

Factorial has 4.3 out of 5 from 876 reviews on Trustpilot (October 18, 2026). A G2 listing shows 4.4 from 110, but we could not confirm it is the same company. Recurring complaints:

  • The payroll module lacks depth, so some teams double-check it elsewhere.
  • Reporting and customization are limited.
  • Support is hard to reach directly and runs through the account admin.

Who Factorial fits

What works

  • Published $8 starting price
  • Monthly plans with 15 days' notice
  • Onboarding included in Core
  • ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2

Watch out for

  • 10 seats billed in the US even for 3 people
  • Time off, time tracking and performance cost extra
  • No refund if you leave mid-period
  • Spanish-law contract

Bottom line: At 10 to 25 employees, Factorial Core at $80 to $200 a month undercuts BambooHR's $250 flat rate, but only if the modules you need stay cheap. Get every module priced, plus payroll, then compare. More options are on the HR software hub.
