Two NBS series to keep apart

The annual figure, MDL 15,594.5, covers enterprises with one or more employees plus budgetary institutions. A narrower version for units with four or more employees is MDL 15,472.1. Real earnings grew 3.4% on 2024. The quarterly release uses a different frame (real-sector units with four or more employees and all budgetary institutions), so its MDL 16,895.7 for the second quarter of 2026, up 9.2% on a year earlier and 5.7% on the first quarter, is not a straight continuation of the annual number. Both are means, not medians.
