Jordan's minimum wage is JOD 290 a month in 2026, set by the Tripartite Committee for Labor Affairs in a decision issued December 16, 2024 and fixed from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027 with no annual indexation (Ministry of Labor, checked October 18, 2026). That is about $410 a month, or about $4,915 a year, at the US Treasury rate of 0.708 dinars per dollar for September 30, 2026. Deloitte's 2026 Jordan tax highlights put the employer's Social Security Corporation contribution at 14.25%, about JOD 41.33 a month at the minimum. That rate is from a secondary source: we could not read the SSC rate pages.
Jordan's minimum wage is a national monthly floor agreed by the tripartite committee of government, employers and workers and issued by the Ministry of Labor.

Who the JOD 290 floor covers
The decision applies to every worker under the Labor Law, Jordanian or not, however the wage is paid. Two carve-outs matter:
- Non-Jordanian domestic workers, household gardeners and similar household staff are excluded.
- The garment sector is covered by an approved collective agreement that forms part of the decision.
The decision sets one monthly figure.

Frozen for three years
The decision runs for three years, so JOD 290 holds through December 31, 2027 with no automatic increase. That gives you a fixed floor for 2026 and 2027 budgets: JOD 290 x 12 = JOD 3,480 a year. The rate before 2025 was not part of our review. We also found no current official average wage for Jordan: the Department of Statistics survey on its site stops at 2015.
Hiring in Jordan through an EOR
At list price, checked October 16, 2026, an EOR charges $99 (the starting rate at Native Teams, whose help center says EUR 99) to $699 (Oyster) per employee each month. Deel's $599 is about 1.3 times the $468 monthly cost of a minimum-wage hire, so an EOR fits professional roles better than entry-level ones. Provider scores live in our EOR rankings, Jordanian contract rules in the Jordan guide, and the build-or-rent question in EOR versus your own entity; the cost index has the contribution data. Around the region: Saudi Arabia, Israel and the UAE.

Social security on a minimum-wage salary
The employer's Social Security Corporation contribution is 14.25% according to Deloitte (a secondary source; we did not confirm the rate or its split by branch on the SSC site), on pay up to JOD 3,668 a month, a cap from the same source. SSC also publishes a 2024 regulation that reduces old-age contributions for some private-sector workers, which we did not read, so the rate for your hire may differ. At the minimum: JOD 290 x 14.25% = JOD 41.33, so the monthly cost is JOD 331.33, about $468, and the yearly cost JOD 3,975.90, about $5,616. Our sources show no statutory 13th month.
