Armenia's minimum wage is AMD 75,000 a month in 2026, the national minimum monthly wage fixed in the Law on the Minimum Monthly Wage, at this level since January 1, 2023 under amending Law HO-501-N of December 7, 2022 (arlis.am, checked October 17, 2026). That is about $208 a month, or about $2,500 a year, at the US Treasury rate of 360 dram per dollar for September 30, 2026. For a US company hiring there, the employer of record fee is usually the bigger number: Deel's $599 monthly list price is almost three times the wage.

Armenia's minimum monthly wage is a single national pay floor written into statute, changed only when the National Assembly amends the Law on the Minimum Monthly Wage.

A floor written into the law itself

Armenia's minimum is not reset by yearly decree. The amount sits in the Law on the Minimum Monthly Wage, so a change needs an amending law passed by the National Assembly. The last one, HO-501-N, replaced AMD 68,000 with AMD 75,000 from January 1, 2023, a rise of about 10.3%. The law sets one national monthly figure that applies to all employees.

The arlis.am amendment history showed no later amending law when we read it on October 17, 2026. That is why we treat AMD 75,000 as the 2026 rate, and why we leave out a 2024 and 2025 history line: we did not confirm those years one by one.

AMD 75,000 per year and in dollars

Because the law states a monthly amount, full-time staff are simply owed AMD 75,000 each month. Over a year: AMD 75,000 x 12 = AMD 900,000. At 360 dram per dollar that is about $208.33 a month and $2,500 a year. Our sources do not confirm Armenia's standard weekly hours, so this page gives no hourly figure.

We have no confirmed average wage for Armenia: the Armstat wage series could not be read when we checked, so this page does not compare the floor with typical pay.

Payroll charges on top of the wage

We have not confirmed Armenia's employer-side payroll contributions from an official source, so we give no percentage and no all-in figure for a minimum-wage hire. If a provider quotes an employer rate for Armenia, ask which law it comes from and which pay band it covers. Our employer cost index lists only countries where those rates are confirmed. For regional comparison, see the minimum wage in Turkey and average pay in Moldova.

Hiring in Armenia without a local company

A US business with no Armenian entity can hire through an employer of record, which signs the local contract and runs payroll. Published EOR list prices run from $99 a month (Native Teams, whose help center says EUR 99, a starting price) to $699 (Oyster), checked October 16 and 18, 2026. At the minimum wage the fee outweighs the salary: even the $99 floor is about half of the $208 monthly wage. Compare providers in our EOR rankings, read the Armenia employer of record guide, and weigh an EOR against opening your own entity.
