Connecteam pricing and review: plans, per-user fees and limits

Connecteam's Operations hub costs $35 a month billed monthly, or $29 a month billed yearly, for the first 30 users on its Basic plan, with $1.0 per extra user after that, according to its pricing page (checked October 16, 2026). Advanced is $59 and the top self-serve plan $119 a month. Two free plans cover up to 10 and up to 30 users.
Connecteam scores 72 out of 100, second of the five scheduling apps we rank. For 20 staff on monthly billing, only Homebase Essentials ($30 for one location) is cheaper among the five apps we rank; When I Work Essentials ($2.50 a user) is also cheaper below 14 users. Connecteam does not run payroll; it only connects to one, and not on the free plan.
Connecteam is an all-in-one app for deskless teams that bundles shift scheduling, a GPS time clock, team chat, forms, checklists and training, sold in separate hubs priced per account rather than per user up to 30 users.

Connecteam splits its product into hubs: Operations (scheduling and time clock), Communications and HR & Skills. Scheduling buyers need Operations. We compare published terms and prices rather than testing the app, and the score method is on how we score providers.

The flat fee for the first 30 users is what makes Connecteam unusual. A 12-person crew and a 30-person crew pay the same $35 on Basic. Per-user apps such as Deputy at $5 to $9 per user or When I Work at $2.50 to $8 per user get more expensive with every hire.

For 20 hourly staff, Basic billed monthly is $35, which is how it earns the full 30 price points in our score. Above 30 users the per-user add-on kicks in, but slowly on Basic: 10 extra users add $10 a month.
Counting all users matters. The pricing page does not say whether managers and admins count toward the 30; Deputy, by contrast, says they do. Ask Connecteam before you assume a 30-person team fits.
The free plans: what we know and what we do not
Connecteam lists a free Small Business plan for up to 10 users and a free Limited plan for up to 30 users. Our research did not capture which features each free plan includes. We do know two limits:
- The payroll integration is not available on the free plan.
- Once you pass the user cap, you need a paid plan.
A 14-day trial with no card is also offered. Compare free tiers across apps on our scheduling software comparison; Homebase's free tier is capped at one location and 10 employees.
Payroll: integration only
Connecteam does not process payroll. It exports hours to outside payroll, and that integration is not on the free plan. Our research did not capture which payroll providers it connects to, so check the integrations list against your payroll before you sign. This is why it gets 5 of 15 payroll points.
Budget payroll separately. Published examples for 10 people: Square Payroll at $35 + 10 x $6 = $95 a month, and Gusto Simple at $49 + 10 x $6 = $109 (pricing pages checked October 16, 2026). We have not confirmed that either connects to Connecteam. More options are in our payroll software rankings.
GPS time clock and other features
Connecteam documents scheduling, a time clock with GPS, team chat, forms and checklists, and training. It is the only one of the five apps we rank with a GPS time clock documented in our research, which matters for field crews who clock in at job sites. Geofencing by name, auto-scheduling and labor law compliance tools are not documented on the pages we checked. See time clock apps compared for the rest of the field.
HIPAA accounts cost extra, which affects home care and clinics. The extra charge is not priced on the page.
Contract, refunds and cancellation
- Monthly plans: cancel anytime; prepaid amounts are not refunded.
- Annual plans: a prorated refund only if you cancel in the first 30 days.
- Adding seats: seats added mid-cycle are prorated.
- Support: hours and channels are not published; Enterprise gets a personal success manager.
- Currency: prices are in USD.
The 30-day window on annual refunds is the term to watch. If you are not sure the app fits, run the free plan or the 14-day trial first and pay monthly for a cycle or two before committing to a year.
Connecteam reviews
Connecteam has 4.7 out of 5 from 1,902 reviews on Trustpilot and 4.6 out of 5 from 3,506 reviews on G2 (both seen October 16, 2026). The Trustpilot score is the highest of the five scheduling apps we track. We did not research recurring complaint themes this pass, so the complaint score uses the default for that part.

Bottom line: for 14 to 30 field or shift workers, Connecteam Basic at $35 a month ($29 billed yearly) costs no more than any per-user app we rank; only Homebase Essentials at $30 for one location is lower on monthly billing. If you want scheduling and payroll from one vendor, Homebase with its own payroll is the closer fit.
