Thailand's minimum wage is THB 400 a day in Bangkok from July 1, 2025, under Wage Committee Notification No. 14, and provincial daily rates run down to THB 337 in Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala (Government Public Relations Department, checked October 18, 2026). THB 400 is about $11.97 a day at the ECB rate for October 16, 2026. The employer's Social Security Fund contribution is 5% of wages up to THB 17,500 a month in 2026, a maximum of THB 875 a month per employee, according to a Krungsri bank guide (a secondary source; the Social Security Office site blocks automated access).
Thailand's minimum wage is a daily rate set province by province by the tripartite Wage Committee and published as a Notification in the Royal Gazette after the Cabinet acknowledges it.

From a daily rate to monthly pay
The Labor Protection Act caps normal hours at 8 a day and 48 a week, so THB 400 a day is THB 50 an hour. Monthly pay depends on how many paid days you count, and our sources do not confirm one legal conversion:
- 26 paid days: 400 x 26 = THB 10,400, about $311
- 30 paid days: 400 x 30 = THB 12,000, about $359
We have no confirmed average wage for Thailand: the National Statistical Office survey pages could not be read when we checked.
When the rates change next
We found no notification later than No. 14 as of October 2026, but our check was not complete, so a 2026 or 2027 change cannot be ruled out. Thailand has changed rates on January 1 and, in 2025, again on July 1, so watch the Royal Gazette rather than assuming a January date.
Hiring in Thailand through an EOR
On vendors' pricing pages (October 16, 2026), EOR fees begin at $99 a month with Native Teams (its help center says EUR 99) and reach $699 with Oyster. Deel's $599 is about 1.7 times a THB 12,000 monthly wage, so the fee makes sense for salaried roles rather than minimum-wage ones. Thailand has the lowest employer contribution rate in our cost index, so the provider fee is the number to shop: see our EOR scores, the Thailand employer of record guide and the calculator. Regional rates: Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.

Social security and the rising wage ceiling
According to a Krungsri bank guide (secondary; we could not read the Social Security Office pages), the employer pays 5% of wages to the Social Security Fund (section 33), on a wage ceiling of THB 17,500 a month for 2026 to 2028, so the maximum is THB 875 a month. The ceiling rises to THB 20,000 for 2029 to 2031 (maximum THB 1,000) and THB 23,000 from 2032 (THB 1,150). At THB 12,000 a month the contribution is THB 600. The Workmen's Compensation Fund is a separate employer premium whose rate we have not confirmed.
